Yesterday evening we went to watch the new Harry’s movie: Harry Potter and The Globet of Fire. It’s wonderful !! It’s a very exciting and gripping!! I think it’s the best of the 4 Harry’s movies!! The actors are really grown!! I think it’s beautiful that the actors are the same for all the film…unfortunately Albus Dumbledore is changed…Anyway we like it very much!!
I have almost finished the X stitch of Lottie..now I have to stitch two green stars and the backstitch, in the lunch break I’ll go to buy a square frame…I hope to find one!!
This is the view from my kitchen ….the snow is spectacular!!!!

...It's snowing...
It’s snowing!!! WOW : ) The snow is falling thickly but for now it doesn’t settle on the ground….
Today is the patronal festival of Reggio Emilia, the patronal of my town is San Prospero.
The folk tale tells that he had saved Reggio Emilia from the barbarian invasion: he prayed for and obtained a blanket of fog that hide our town from the barbarian eyes so they had gone away and our town was safe!!
Today we are at home, all the office are closed and on the middle of the town there are stalls and a lot of attractions…this afternoon there is Santa Claus with his sledge with true reindeer…I would like to take Alice to see them if there isn’t too many snow on the street!!! This is San Prospero church:
At last my Lottie takes shape!!! Now you can see the ballet dress and her shoes!!! Well I think I will be able to finish it on time for Alice birthday!!!
This morning I’ve finished to clear up my floss on my new chess drawers…what a boring work!!! …but I hope to save time when I’ll search a floss in the future!!! There is a compartment empty…I have no floss from 125 to 168 so I have fill it with my floss without number (I have some floss I don’t know what number they are: ( )!!!
Yesterday I found the issue 105 of The World of Cross Stitching in a newspaper kiosk of my town…I’m really happy of it!! Margaret Sherry Santa is wonderful!! I like also Tatty teddy and the two fairies with the name Alice (when I open the magazine and I see this design iìve thought that it will be perfect for my daughter!!!)
Today's was suggested by Kimberly and is:
Do you always sign your projects? If not, why? If so, do you use your first name, initials or what?
Well usually I sign my project with my first name, I make a signature rather small so that it won’t be too much garish and it will remain quite hidden, I don’t like signature very loud!!
Thank you for all your kind comment!!!
Anneke ..I’m stressed about my graduation thesis…I have a lot of work to do a few time to do it…i have to deliver it at the beginning of next week!! Yesterday I come home at 8 pm…i’ve spent all the afternoon with my teacher to revise my thesis and he has changed totally two chapter!!….today I have to re-write them and send them to him before this evening so he can do another revise…arg haw many thing!!!
…Cross Stitcher take 21 days from the UK publication date to arrive to my home…really a lot of time!!

...SBQ...
This week’s was suggested by Kimberly and Lili and is:
How do you feel about staying totally true to a pattern?
Usually I stay totally true to a pattern but sometimes, if I don’t like some part or colour of it I change it without any problem (as you can see from my TOM MOUSE, I didn’t like its nose so I haven’t stitch it!!!)
Do you feel that you have to rip out stitches to fix a mistake or do you feel it’s acceptable to incorporate a mistake into the design?
It depends on the seriousness of the mistake, if I can I incorporate the mistake in the design….if it’s too glaring I rip out the stitches and re-stitch it (in that case I get quite angry with myself!!)
Just yesterday evening while I was stitching Happy Birthday Lottie I made a glaring mistake !!sob!! and I have to rip out a big bit of stitch work….damn!! So my progress on it are still small….if I want to finish it on time I’ve to work hard on it!!
Furthermore the symbol chart is hard to be read!! The symbol are really small and dark!! I have a lot of difficulty to read it, I have to highlight what I’ve done if I want to finish it without making a lot of mistakes!!!(this remember me SBQ of Cathy!!)
Some days ago I received my first hand dyed fabric from Silkweaver,on is Lemon and one is Winter Sky. I would like to take part in Silkweaver Showcase if I mange to stitch something …I’m think to stitch on Winter Sky fabric the Tatty Teddy pattern on October Cross Stitcher issue if it will arrive to my home soon!!!
Yesterday I’ve bought “The Collection” the last CD of Alanis Morisette( it’s the first Cd I’ve been bought for 6 years)…it’s wonderful …I love very much her music…

....loop method...
Yesterday arrive me the Little Kate calendar I’ve bought, the chart are lovely…
Thank you to Zohrah I can show you the Loop method I have tried to use, I would ask you a suggestion:
When you use loop method, and you have finished to stitch one colour but a lot of thread is left over…. I don’t manage to get unthreaded without cutting the thread (the loop is became too tight to unthread it)… what you do? You leave that colour in the needle to use it later and you use another needle for other colours? Or you cut the thread left and throw it away?.....
I haven’t notice that Coeur Fragile on the sidebar is on grey and my is on green, I don’t know why… on the chart I’m using the colour is green…I was beset by doubt so I’ve search other image on the net and I’ve found a lot of coeur green so I think the photo I’ve found on the web, and put in the sidebar, is of poor quality.
Yesterday evening I’ve had my first basket game, we‘ve lost but I’m satisfied I’ve scored a basket!!! My first basket!!! What an emotion!!!

...thank you very much!!!...
I’m truly happy you like my chest!!!
Thank you very much for your comments!!!!
To answer:
I haven’t bought the box at IKEA, unfortunately the nearest IKEA is 60 kilometres away!!! (At IKEA there is a similar box…cheaper than mine!!) Sigh…sob…I’ve bought it in a “do-it-yourself” shop in my city….
I’ve made the chest to tidy up my floss…before my thread was stored in several places and with several filing methods.. some keep in skeins, some keep in bobbins (the most useful) and some pre-cut store in cardboard with hole…now I will put all of them ( as they are stored) in the drawers in numeric order…so I hope to lose less time searching the right colour!!!

...chest of drawers...
Rain…rain…a week end really wet!!
Some days ago I read a post in EMS forum called Desperate Stitcher and I though that I’m desperate because of my DMC thread archive…so I take the most of this rainy days to reorganize my moulinè…
Yesterday I bought a little chest of drawers in its natural state and some transfer (I’m hopeless at painting!!)
This morning, with Alice, I’ve painted the box with green( to make the grass) and blue (to make the sky), this afternoon we’ve applied the transfer on the drawers…I think the result is nice…
I’ve put some separator in each drawers to obtain four glove compartment…so I have 24 space where put back my thread in numeric order…
Yesterday the Calendar, I bought on e-Bay, arrived!!! It’s wonderful…I’ve started stitching the coeur fragile….only a little bit progress…but I have time till the dead line

...SBQ....
Today’s is a fun question suggested by Dianne and is:
If you have stitched for a while, can you usually pick out the DMC colors you need from memory when you go to your LNS? (For example, you know that 610 is a brown.)
Usually I don't remember at what colour a DMC number is linked....for the most used number I have only a vague idea about what colour they are…When I go to my LNS I write a list of the colour I need and I give it to the saleswoman….recently I buy DMC colour on the web…here, in Italy, skein have prohibitive price!!!( 1 skein 1.10 EURO = 1.31 US Dollar!!!!!)….what a damned nuisance!!!
Yesterday I bought Ellie May calendar of Margaret Sherry…it will arrive next week..I’m looking forward for it..
Zohrah..I haven’ seen that my penguin dive into the ocean yet !!! It’s Fantastic!!!!…today afternoon I will shown it to Alice , I can imagine her belly laugh!! Thanks to have planted a bloom on my map!!! It will became a flowery world…it’s a truly a peace image!!!!

...it's already November!!...
It’s already November…Xmas is just around the corner!!
Unfortunately also this long week-end is ended and tomorrow back to work…..nooooooo!!!!
I’m quite satisfied with this week end:
..I wrote all the thesis chapter I’ve planned….well done
..Saturday afternoon we went to a chocolate party called “Le vie del Cioccolato” (the chocolate way)…Alice was really happy…there was two clown who give her a balloon in the shape of a swan, some chocolate and make up her as a butterfly…
…Yesterday we haven’t celebrate Halloween….but my basket coach give use some chocolate!! What a kind thought!!!…
...I have finished to stitch Tom Mouse, I like the end result of using only 1 strand for the X…I decide not to stitch the nose I think that, in the original design, it has a strange position…I don’t like it so I didn’t stitch it…I think I will make a Christmas decoration with it…I would like to find other Xmas subject to stitch and make ornaments with…
I would like to start stitching the Happy Birthday Lottie kit I’ve bought last month…I will stitch it for my daughter birthday on the 3 December I will put a five in the star..i hope she’ll love it!!!
