..bye bye 2008...

2008 is finished…wonderful year for my family and me!! I hope 2009 will be good as well! Thank you for all your kind message for Giulia birth, she is growing very fast and she is marvellous! Alice is very happy to have a sister even if she requires more cuddles than before but it’s ok…	E anche il 2008 è finito...per me e la mia famiglia è sttao un anno fantastico speriamo che il 2009 lo sia altrettanto! Grazie mille per tutti i commenti sulla nascita di Giulia, è spettacolare cresce in maniera impressionante!! Alice è molto contenta di avere una sorellina anche se ha aumentato la richiesta di coccole ma penso sia piuttosto normale
I didn’t’ stitch so much in the last period (you can understand why) but I would like to show you some pieces.. Then I finished the stitchery pieces I have made as Christmas gifts for my colleagues and friends…I used as inspiration some design by Margaret Sherry, a Tilda house and an idea of Valy981	Quindi ho finito alcuni Stitchery che ho regalato ad alcune colleghe e amiche...mi sono ispirata a dei disegni di Margaret Sherry, alla casa di Tilda e a dei lavoretti di Valy981

I’m glad to introduce you Giulia!! Born 2.17 a.m. of the 2nd of December. Weighing 3,600Kg	Sono felicissima di presentarvi Giulia!! La piccola pagnotta è nata il 2/12/2008 alle ore 2,17 e pesava 3,6 kg!!

We are all waiting for Giulia … I hope the great day will arrive soon. Today we celebrate Alice’s 8th birthday with grand parents I was quite afraid we can’t celebrate this year due to the childbirth but luckily we have enough time…now I’m ready I hope Giulia is ready too …...all my family (me too) is impatient they phone me almost every two hours…and they live me clear message in my house…this is the message I found today in my kitchen blackboard after my sister go home… (Translation: “Give birth, please!”)…	Siamo tutti in trepidante attesa che Giulia decida di nascere..ormai manca poco e ogni momento è buono...oggi abbiamo festeggiato l'ottavo compleanno di Alice con i nonni ero un pò preoccupata che il parto potesse far saltare tutto ma fortunatamente ce l'abbiamo fatta e ora sono pronta per partorire...speriamo che anche Giulia lo sia...i miei famigliari sono tutti impazienti (anche io natauralmente) mi chiamano ogni due ore per sapere se ci sono novità...e mi lasciano espliciti messaggi in giro per casa...questo è quello che ho trovato sulla mia lavagnetta in cucina dopo il passaggio di mia sorella...

I found this wonderful panel on Country Dreams a free magazine of the web, the project is by Country Kitty, I fall in love with it and I start immediately to cut, sew and paint it. I love the final results it will be perfect as Christmas decoration for my house…	Sul nuovo numero della rivista Country Dreams ho trovato le istrruzioni per questo fantastico pannello realizzato da Country Kitty, è stato amore a prima vista mi sono messa subito a realizzarlo ed ecco il risultato, credo starà benissimo nella mia casetta Natalizia!

...Snow...

This morning we have a wonderful surprise…the snow!! Everything outside is white…I love snow it is so soothing! My first thought was perfect day for Giulia to born…but I think she loves to stay in my bump for some more days…I’m itching to see her… Today is Patron Saint feast day in Reggio Emilia so we stay all day at home watching the snow…perfect day! This is Reggio Emilia main square today from a webcam:	Questa mattina ci siamo svegliati con la neve!! Stupendo io adoro la neve tutto era bianco inoltre oggi a Reggio è la festa del Patrono quindi non avevamo nessuna preoccupazione per la scuola e le strade...abbiamo passato una stupenda mattina in casa guardando nevicare e aspettando che Giulia si decida a uscire mi sarebbe proprio piaciuto che nascesse con la neve ma credo che voglia stare ancora un pò qui dentro!! Luckily my mother, Alice and me decided to visit Reggio Emilia (a tradition for Patron Saint day) yesterday (the sun was shining yesterday) and we have a wonderful afternoon walking through Saint Patron street market and visiting an adorable Cross Stitch show organized by Cross Stitch Italian Association in Reggio Emilia, there are several marvellous work of any kind very interesting…	Fortunatamente con mia mamma e l'Ali avevamo deciso di andare a fare un giro in centro, come da tradizione per il patrono,ieri (c'era un tempo spettacolare un pò freddino ma soleggiato). Abbiamo girovagato per il mercato e abbiamo visitato un'interessantissima mostra di punto croce organizzata dall'ASSOCIAZIONE ITALIANA DEL PUNTO CROCE. C'erano dei lavori favolosi davvero per tutti i gusti...
and to end on a high note there is also a little x-stitch market and my mum give me as a gift two wonderful Lili Points scheme and a piece of green and white linen…very funny afternoon!! I started the Christmas one, I would like to finish it by this Christmas but I'm quite doubtful!	e per chiudere in bellezza c'era anche un mercatino sul punto croce e la mia mammina mi ha regalato questi due stupendi schemi di Lili Points e un pezzo di tela di lino a quadretti bianchi e verdi...che bel pomeriggio!! Ho già iniziato quello di Natale se voglio avere qualche speranza di finirlo in tempo utile per quest'anno anche se ho dei dubbi di farcela

...Country Painting...

Taking advantage of this maternity spare time I attended a course of Country painting...I bought a Santa Clause wooden support last year and I paint it during the course…amusing but I have to improve my painting technique	Approfittando di questo periodo di nullafacenza ho seguito un corso di country painting e questo è il risultato..avevo comprato questo supporto di legno l'anno scorso ma non sapevo proprio da dove iniziare...mi sono divertita a realizzarlo anche se devo migliorare parecchio

...Stitchery...

First week of maternity leave… I’m at home from last Tuesday and wow… It’s wonderful…I was quite sad to leave work but only for one day …now I’m free to wait for my baby and to grow grow grow…and I can stitch, paint, sew…make a lot of amazing thing …great!! So in the last week surfing the net I discover the wonderful word of Stitchery …and I fall in love… This is my first attempt to Stitchery… First of all I made this little Welcome house using this free pattern and the Tilda house shape to make the little house…I coloured the fabric before stitching with coffee and I use two strands for the stitchery, I think is to much…	Prima settimana a casa in maternità... Sono a casa da martedì scorso ed è favoloso...il primo giorno mi mancava un pò il lavoro...ma dal secondo in poi viva la libertà..è meraviglioso poter fare tutte quelle cose che rimandavo da anni mentre aspetto che la mia bimba si decida ad uscire...e poi ho un sacco di tempo per cucire, ricamare pitturare...fantastico!! Nella mia nullafacenza, navigando per alcuni fantastici blog, ho scoperto lo Stitchery ed è stato subito amore... Questo è il mio primo stitchery, ho usato uno schema free e la forma delle casette di tilda, la tela l'ho colorata con il caffè, per lo stitchery ho usato 2 fili ma mi sembra un pò grossolano comunque per questa volta era già fatto...
…so in my second attempt I use only one treads, I choose a Tilda pattern and I made this little square for Alice and Giulia ‘s room, I use two different pink shade for the treads and I have the great idea to colour the fabric after sewing it with Karkade, I thought that my fabric will became pink or light red…no my fabric became light blue…what a pity! However when I sew it with this pink flower pattern I think the end result is lovely.	Ed ecco il mio secondo tentativo in cui ho usato solo un filo di mulinè e due tonalità di rosa. Ho scelto uno stitchery di Tilda e ho realizzato questo quadretto per la camera di Alice e Giulia. Purtroppo ho avuto la brillantissima idea di colorare la tela dopo averla ricamata..ho usato il Karkadè pensando diventasse di un bel rosa invece è saltata fuori azzurastra...sob...comunque finita non fa un effetto terribile.
Third I choose this Tilda Teddy to make a lavender hearth pillow for my sister, we had an animated discussion but now it’s ok, This time I used a white fabric with a little flower motif and I used DMC crescent colour to sew the teddy…cute!!	Quindi ho realizzato questo cuscinetto pieno di lavanda per mia sorella, abbiamo avuto una furente discussione ma ora tutto a posto, come disegno ho scelto sempre un disegno di Tilda e l'ho ricamato su una tela bianca con stampati dei fiorellini bianchi.
But I can’t leave completely cross stitch so I make some progress on a Somebunny pattern called “Follow my leader” I would like to stitch it to make a Pillow for Giulia bed but since I have finished 1 bunny on 3 I think I’ll sew the pillow and then sew on it the pattern …	Ma il primo amore non si scorda mai quindi mi sono dedicata anche al punto croce. Sto cercando di fare un paracolpi per il lettino e ho scelto lo schema della DMC "Follow my leader” ma dato che ho finito 1 coniglio su 3 (questa foto è di un progresso prima ma non posso farcela a farne un'altra..) ho deciso di cucire prima il paracolpi e poi di attacarci sopra il ricamo..

..Sewing day...

Last Saturday Luca and Alice went to Gardaland…due to my state I prefer to stay at home and I take advantage of this free Saturday to sew…I took out my sewing machine at 8 am and I put it back at 7 pm… First of all some Halloween sewing to meet my Exchange deadline: I sewed all the Halloween pieces for my Exchange (see previous post) and those pumpkin pincushion following this useful instruction	Sabato scorso Alice e Luca sono andati a Gardaland a causa delle mie dimensioni ho preferito stare a casa e ne ho approfittato per cucire alcune cosette. Ho tirato fuori la macchina da cucire al mattino e l'ho rimessa a posto alla sera...ogni tanto questi momenti fanno bene!! Ho iniziato cucendo alcune cosucce di Halloween..per rispettare la scadenza dello scambio che vi ho mostrato nel post precedente. Ho anche realizzato queste tre zucche puntaspilli seguendo queste istruzioni.
And then some sewing for the new baby…my pregnancy proceed very well, today I have my last ultrasound…and Giulia is ok…at the end of the visit the doctor said:”… and now good luck we will see after the childbirth..”…”What… already! … I’m not ready I want to come for another visit” I’m very curios to see my daughter but time run very fast…and wow we are at the end only one month left…I’m quite excited but also quite frighten. I hope everything will go well…and this is my bump...	Quindi mi sono dedicata a un pò di cucito per la bimba in arrivo...a proposito la mia gravidanza sta procedendo bene oggi ho fatto l'ultima eco e sembra tutto a posto..alla fine della visita la dottoressa mi ha detto "Bene questa era l'ultima visita, in bocca al lupo ci vediamo dopo il parto" ..."Che cosa... già...io voglio fare delle altre visite..." manca solo un mese aiuto! sono curisissima di vedere la Giulietta ma sono anche un pò spaventata speriamo vada tutto per il meglio... Ecco la mia panciona...
In last weeks I stitched this Tatty Teddy to prepare a nappies vessel following Bea instruction , I choose a pink pattern with some baby drawings and this is the end results…lovely don’t you? I finished also the birthday bow... but I’ll show you the end results when Giulia will born…thank you very much for the suggestion on how to finish it.	Nelle scorse settimane ho ricamato questo Tatty Teddy per realizzare un portapannolini seguendo le istruzioni di Bea, molto utili!! Grazie mille Bea. Ho finito anche il fiocco dell nascita ma preferisco farvelo vedere a tempo debito...grazie mille per i suggerimenti su come finirlo!!

...My halloween exchange for Vania...

I chosen a Lizzie Kate chart from Fall Crazy and I finished it in a door hanger, I made also a little bag with a Lizzie Kate Halloween Hat (this is a free chart but I don’t remember where I found it)	Ho scelto uno schema di Lizzie Kate della serie Fall Crazy e ho realizzato un cuscinetto da appedere a una porta. Ho anche realizzato un sacchettino con un cappello da strega sempre di Lizzie kate (è un free ma non ricordo dove l'ho trovato)

...Halloween exchange...

When I arrived at home this evening I found a wonderful surprise on my table… an envelope from Sandra for the Halloween Exchange organized by Elena. I immediately opened the package with Alice and we found this wonderful Halloween pieces: an Halloween table cover, an Halloween bag, some pumpkins ornaments, a pumpkin Jew’s harp, some sweets and two cute Halloween frog!I’m sorry for photo quality but I haven’t bought a new camera yet and I have to use our webcam…	Questa sera al mio ritorno a casa ho trovato una bella bustona gialla che conteneva i regali che Sandra ha preparato per me per lo scambio di Halloween organizzato da Elena. Con Alice ho immediatamente aperto la bustona e meraviglia...abbiamo trovato tante fantastiche sorprese: un sacchettone di Haloween, una tovaglia in tema, degli ornamenti di feltro a forma di zucca, uno scaccia pensieri con una zucca, delle caramelle e un quadretto ricamato con due fantastiche ranocchie di Halloween. (Scusate la qualità della foto ma la macchina fotografica è rotta e non ne ho comprata ancora una nuova quindi devo usare la webcam è il risultato è questo...)

...Welcome autumn...

I love very much autumn its colour its temperature… especially this year… summer hot temperature was terrible for me and Giulia… It seems like cool doesn’t want to arrive!! To celebrate autumn I decide to stitch this pumpkin from Fall Crazy chart by Lizzie Kate. I finish it in this little green square for my kitchen.	Mi piace l'autunno per i suoi colori ma soprattutto per la temperatura ottimale...soprattutto quest'anno non ne potevo più del caldo soffocante dell'estate ..sembrava non finisse mai...era proprio deleterio per me e la mia panciotta!! Per celebrare l'arrivo dell'autunno ho realizzato questo piccolo quadretto con una zucca tratta dallo schema Fall Crazy di Lizzie Kate.
In last days I started also the kit I bought for Giulia Birthday bow and this is my progress so far but nowI need your help…I have to decide how to finish it…the final results of the kit is shown in the picture in the right bar of the blog…but I’m not sure I want a squared birthday bow …maybe I can finish it as a star or as an heart or a rounded shape or a little pillow, or frame it in a square frame. I have to stith al the kit or only some part?...I don't like very much the writing maybe I can delete it...Could you please help me with some ideas? Thank you very much	Negli ultimi giorni mi sono dedicata al ricamo per il fiocco di nascita di Giulia, ho finito la bimba ma ora ho un dubbio su come finire il ricamo. Il risultato finale previsto dal kit è quello mostrato nella barra di destra del blog ma non sono sicura di volere un fiocco di nascita quadrato...avete qualche suggerimento? Potrei finirlo a forma di stella, di cuore, di cerchio, di cuscino rettangolare..la scritta non mi fa impazzire potrei toglierla oppure no ricamare la parte sosttostante...non saprei aiuto!!
