...Computer Wizard SAL part II ..

A quick post to show you my last progress on Computer wizard….I think it’s a good idea to post a photo of my last Wednesday progress on Computer Wizard before tomorrow x-stitch… better late than never (unfortunately last Thursday and Friday I was out from the office and I have no time to post anything)…I finished only the hair, my progress would be more considerable but unfortunately I waste a lot of time colouring the chart…I bought the chart for Patterns online.com so this is a file .pat I print it in a black a white version (B/W symbol) because I haven’t a colour print…Last Wednesday I notice that there are several identical symbol for different DMC colour so I have to check all of them and colour it to avoid mistake in the stitching...it was an awful grind!!

...Computer Wizard SAL....

Yesterday I start a SAL with Zohrah and Jenna…we decide to stitch the Computer Wizard by Alma Lynne every Wednesday.

This is my progress so far…as you can see this is a very little progress but yesterday was a busy day and I have only few minutes for x-stitch…I’ll stitch more next Wednesday

Today's SBQ is:

Do you like to buy "chartpacks" that include charms, buttons, and/or
beads or do you prefer to gather all materials yourself?

I like to buy “chartpacks” even if by today I buy only one …It’s easier and quicker

In the past weeks I would like to post something but I didn’t find any time to do it… That was a very busy period at work and at home...I work all day at the pc and at evening I didn’t fell like to use the computer anymore….the new home is proceeding, and it’s very time and patience consuming… every day there is a new trouble to solve… now I can see the light of day but there are more things to do :-(….We hope to move in March or latest in April…(I hope to show you some photos soon).

In the last week I tried to add emoticon to my post thanks to this link it works :-D….I would like to use the emoticon of the previous post instead o this one but I’m not able to change the image… any suggestion?

Now x-stitch…

First of all I would like to show you my winter envelope for EMS mail art exchange.

This is the envelope I made for Elisa, I choose a snowmen from an old Italian Magazine and I stitch it on a silkweavers sparkle fabric I bought years ago. I’m quite satisfied by the and as Elisa likes it I’m very happy :o)

...SBQ..

Today's SBQ is:

Have you had a happy dance yet this year? If so, tell us about it! (Or
just point to the entry that talks about it.)
If not, when do you
predict it will be?

Yes I had my first 2007 happy dance last week (you can see it on the previous post, my only 2007 post...)…I started this project in 2006 (post ) but I didn't find any time to stitch it... finally in the last week I unearthed it and I finished it in a few days :-)

...First 2007 happy dance...

First of all I wish everyone an happy 2007!!!

Secondly I would like to show you my first 2007 happy dance….finally I’ve finished the MS Fun Farm animal series…in the last days I finished the cow….

and yesterday I framed all the animals with the square frame I bought a year ago…

I decide not to paint it and to leave it pealed as in Quick and Easy example. I’m very satisfied by the end result…I’ll hang them on new Alice’s room….when it will be finished ;-)

It’s time for good x-stitch intentions:

1. Finish my started project before I’ll start a new one:

  • MS fun farm animal
  • Lizzie Kate flip it stamp
  • Curious Cat
  • Mirabilia Touching The Autumn Sky (maybe I’ll stat some project contemporaneously)
  • The tatty teddy is officially and UFO
2. Finish all RR and Exchange:
  • MS RR
  • EMS Italian Mail art Exchange

3. Start a new challenge by Haturtorres to stitch 25 (the original number is 50 but it’s too high for me) pieces before I buy any more stash. I find this challenge time ago on Jenn’s blog and I think it’s perfect for me!!! Here are her rules for the challenge.

Purpose of the challenge: to reduce the amount of patterns you have not stitched. This challenge can also be applied to other areas of you stash if you wish (please post your personal modification).
The Rules:
1. Have fun reducing your stash.
2. There is no time limit- people have different size projects they would like to work on.
3. Thou shall not purchase any new patterns until 10, 25, or 50 projects have been stitched. Pattern size does not matter.
4. This challenge can also apply to knitting, beading, sewing and crocheting patterns.
5. You can make some exemptions - I am not placing limitations on this due to commitments that people might already have. Remember, though, the goal of this challenge is to reduce stash so too many exemptions will sabotage these efforts.
6. Gifts, gift cards, trades, RAKs and patterns bought with gift money are not a violation of this challenge.
7. Freebies count as part of your total and you can aquire them at any point.
8. The offical start date of this challenge was Sept 1, 2006 since I have been posting about it for awhile and want to make sure the everyone's projects have been included.

Only exemptions…the patterns of the magazine I'm subscribed.

I create a new blog to show al my 25 piece: My 25 finishe pieces

I’ll post the list of the pattern I’ll stitch in this challenge.

Thank you very much for all your comment on my bunny :-)...I appreciate them very much!!

Have a nice week end!!!

I stitch it on a piece of Aida I have hand dyed with English Breakfast tea…this was the first I hand dyed a fabric and I love the end results. I finished it in a little pillow made following the instruction on Bea website…I’m very satisfied of my work even if It’s quite crooked ;o)

I finished also the winter peace piece making a wall panel…also this is very crooked :o(

Before Christmas I finished the cat from MS (free kit from Cross Stitcher) and I fix it on my
refrigerator ….it’s a great ornaments for Christmas…

...Christmas spirit....

The last week was very chaotic and the next one will be the same so regrettably no time to post ….I hope Christmas holiday will arrive soon….to relax myself at home with my family for some days….

Yesterday by Immaculate Conception tradition I and Alice have made the Christmas tree and the crib….there is a Christmas spirit about…
...the Christmas tree is the same of the last year apart from some new ornaments bought in London and the white light I bought yesterday because the coloured one were broken…

…the crib is new…this year we used cork to make the characters…Alice has this original idea…and we make it together …

On Thursday we had Alice’s birthday party, now she is six…..There were 18 children at the party, we organized a treasure hunt and we have a lot of food ….but what a mess!!! … some tears apart( for the piques of a friend) Alice enjoy herself and this is the most important thing :o)!!

The first test of my state exam is gone well :o)…now I’m waiting for the results of the second one….next Monday I’ll have the third part, keep your’s finger crossed for me ;o)

Now some x-stitch progress….
I finished my October flip-it and I start the November one….I’m quite late but I hope to finish all my flip it by the end of December…

I have also finished a little card for my sister degree that took place last Tuesday…I choose a Margaret Sherry degree cat….I love this chart the cat is cute…I made the backstitch with black instead of brown as recommended in the chart for a mistake I notice that I used the wrong colour too late and I’m too lazy too made all the back stitch an other time with the right colour ;o)

Now I’m working on the MS Inquisitive kitty kit free with the last cross stitcher by now I stitched only the face…I think I’ll use it as a decoration for our front door…
Have a nice week :o)
